In Congruence with Reality

Coaching sessions can be very different at times. Sometimes you know you are just there, and it again kicks you back. It really needs you to focus on the goal, even if the client is not. Client needs too much out of it. Because he has tried holding it for so long. And now in the first session everything is coming up and he is not able to resist. One such conversation happened today. Which I was resisting itself. Because in chemistry session he talked about his spirituality, manifestation, creating his future for himself. But in messages he was taking my opinions about buying a lottery ticket. When people just want something desperately for themselves, sometimes even they don’t know what they are talking about. At that time judging them and concluding I can’t be the right person for him as a coach may not lead anywhere. Yes, this thought struck me many times and the first session was getting postponed, not because of me but because of him only. But somehow it was not happening. Till the time I finally decided I want to give it a shot. And when I decided to do so, yes it happened exactly.
I was holding my coaching mindset completely still I was aware that empathy and compassion were a little compromised and I tried to level it up consciously. Till one hour the conversation was not going anywhere. But yes, I was trusting the process and the AHA moment happened after one hour five minutes. When it’s a first session, we should be little rich in giving time to the client. The thing which is expected to happen in 40-45 minutes which is told to be the sweet spot, it happened thirty minutes later.
So as told, he was manifesting everything for himself and creating a future of his choice. When someone knows it is possible, then what becomes impossible for him. Its when he realized that whatever he is manifesting, and he wants that nature should create that future instantly for him today itself is not in congruence with today’s reality. Yes, we can manifest anything we want from the universe. We are the creator of our future. But the block is this… if we manifest, I am flying in sky today and I want to have it instantly, are we neglecting the current reality. To which his question was, if we connect it to current reality then how we can manifest. And that’s exactly where his own words answered his dilemma.
True manifestation happens when you start believing in it without any doubt. When your current reality is not in congruence, doubts seep in your manifestations. Even though you are manifesting consciously still your unconscious doubts will overpower and will not let you believe what you are manifesting. And when you have the exact skill set, tool set and mindset and reality set for yourself, whatever you manifest it happens.
Each coaching conversation makes you learn something new. The process is not only new learning for the client, it’s a new learning for the coach also. That’s why its partnering. if that AHA moment happens for the client, coach will also not remain untouched from that. And in this case my AHA moment was the same, how to connect your reality in congruence with your manifestation. I knew inside me that proverb “Pair utne hi failao jitni Chadar ho”. But as a coach you cannot say the same to your client. Then how would you like to address and make it clear what it makes manifestations in congruence with your reality. That exactly was the point where I came up with flying instantly today itself which is not congruent in today’s reality. In future if it must happen it may but today’s reality is not in congruence with that.
When someone who is not considering his behaviour, capability, and environment as a limiting factor for him to achieve anything and already believes in miracles, even then how coaching space can work magic is what I realized today. Like every client is unique, every situation is unique, every solution is unique, every coaching conversation is also unique. Only thing is how much open we are to take that conversation forward. How much we believe in the process and in ourselves. How much open we are to make the conversation a little longer. Because as rightly said by Mr. Ram Ramnathan…
No client in uncoachable, it’s the coach who is unclientable
